Membeli Ubat di Farmasi

Sejak pagi, Kumar berasa kurang sihat. Kepalanya sakit dan badannya terasa panas.
Selepas makan tengah hari, dia pergi ke farmasi berhampiran pejabatnya. Ahli farmasi bertanya tentang keadaannya. Kumar berkata, “Saya sakit kepala dan rasa macam nak demam.” Ahli farmasi mencadangkan ubat untuk demam. Dia berkata, “Ambil ubat ini selepas makan, dua kali sehari.”
Kumar mengangguk dan mengucapkan terima kasih. Dia membeli ubat itu dan sebotol air mineral. Jika dia masih tidak sihat esok, dia akan berjumpa doktor untuk mendapatkan MC.
Cultural Note
In Malaysia, “MC” commonly refers to certified sick leave as well as the certificate itself. “Ambil MC” means to take sick leave after seeing a doctor.
