Waiting for the Bus
Menunggu Bas

Setiap pagi, Mei Ling menaiki bas ke tempat kerja. Hari ini, dia tiba di perhentian bas pada pukul tujuh setengah. Beberapa orang sudah menunggu di sana. Every morning, Mei Ling takes the bus to work. Today, she arrives at the bus stop at half past seven. Several people are already waiting there. Mei Ling looks at the signboard to make sure she has the correct bus number. After ten minutes, a bus arrives, but it is not hers. She asks a woman, “Excuse me, has bus number twenty already passed?” The woman replies, “Not yet.” Before long, Mei Ling’s bus arrives. She gets on, taps her card on the machine and looks for a seat. The bus is quite full, but she finds a seat near the window. The journey to the office takes twenty minutes.
