Bab 8: Balik Rumah
Adlan menunggu lebih kurang sepuluh minit sebelum hujan mula reda.
Adlan keluar dari pejabat seorang diri.
Dia berjalan ke perhentian bas.
Jalan masih basah. Ada lopak air dekat tepi jalan.
Adlan berdiri di kaki lima.
Sebuah kereta lalu dengan laju melalui lopak air.
“Ah!”
Air dari lopak terpercik pada seluarnya.
Adlan melihat seluarnya.
“Nasib baik sikit je.”
Tidak lama kemudian, bas Adlan tiba.
Dia naik bas dan duduk dekat tingkap.
Seluarnya masih basah sedikit.
Adlan melihat ke luar dari tingkap.
“Tak sabar nak sampai rumah,” kata Adlan dalam hati.

Adlan leaves the office by himself.
He walks to the bus stop.
The road is still wet. There is a puddle near the side of the road.
Adlan stands on the pavement.
A car drives quickly through a puddle.
“Ah!”
Water from the puddle splashes onto his trousers.
Adlan looks at his trousers.
“Luckily, it’s only a little.”
Not long after, Adlan’s bus arrives.
He gets on the bus and sits near the window.
His trousers are still a little wet.
Adlan looks out of the window.
“I can’t wait to get home,” Adlan thinks.
